The Lieutenant Governors (LTG) serve a vital role as the liaison between the New England & Bermuda District and the clubs in their local area. The LTG will create monthly newsletters for clubs, visit each club, communicate with club officers, promote dues and directories, plan divisional officer meetings, and help plan an Officer Training Conference. In addition, the LTG will serve as a member of the District Board and will attend three annual board meetings and monthly committee meetings.

LTGs are elected at Divisional caucuses. Current Lieutenant Governors will send an invitation at least 14 days in advance. Each club is entitled to two delegates at the divisional caucus. Newly elected Lieutenant Governors will be sworn in and begin training at the District Educational Conference. Please contact your current Lieutenant Governor for more information.

Newly-elected LTGs must submit a signed service agreement. This document outlines the duties and expectations of a Lieutenant Governor. The 2026-2027 service agreement will be available in January. Here is a copy of last year's as a reference: LTG Service Agreement (PDF)

Caucuses will take place between January 2 and February 13, 2026 (i.e., between New Year's Day and Presidents Day Weekend).  All caucuses will be held virtually on Zoom. A member of the District Adult Committee will attend in order to oversee the voting system.

Each Key Club may have two (2) voting delegates at their Divisional Caucus and may nominate one (1) candidate for Lieutenant Governor.  Additional Key Club members are welcome to attend, but may not vote in elections.
