Contest Description
This scholarship was created in memory of Katie Vashon, 2001-02 Governor and 2000-01 Division 3 Lieutenant Governor of the New England District of Key Club International. Katie grew up in Hermon, ME and attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. In each of her communities, through various leadership and service activities, Katie was selfless in her devotion to others. Katie believed in the mission and works of Key Club International, and she was passionate about the organization and her connection with the Kiwanis Family. Katie attended many international conventions and found them to be valuable opportunities to develop leadership skills and to build community with fellow Key Club members. Additionally, Katie interned with Key Club International for the 2005 Convention in Atlanta, GA.
