Divisional Realignment
Affecting Divisions 16-17-21, 18, and 19-25

At its October Board Meeting, the District Board voted to realign three Divisions.  This realignment will be effective for the 2019-2020 Key Club year, beginning at the District Educational Conference on April 5, 2019.

The Realignment

Currently, Division 16-17-21 includes two Key Clubs south of Boston and six Key Clubs west of Boston.  This is a result of a huge growth in Key Club west of Boston in recent years, along with the loss of several Kiwanis Clubs and Key Clubs south of Boston.  The goal of this realignment is to create one Division for MetroWest, one Division for the South Shore, and one Division for the South Coast.  This will make it easier for Lieutenant Governors to visit their Key Clubs and for Key Clubs to attend Divisional meetings, service projects, and caucuses.

How this Affects 2019-2020 District Elections

Divisional Caucuses

This year's Divisional Caucuses will be held for the new Divisions in order to elect LTGs for the 2019-2020 year.

Division 16-17-18: Lieutenant Governor Karen Herwono will host a Divisional Caucus before DECON.  More information coming soon.

Division 19-25: A Divisional Caucus will be held at the District Educational Conference.  Please contact Assistant District Administrator Mr. Will Bradford with any questions.

Division 21: Lieutenant Governor Karen Herwono will host a Divisional Caucus before DECON.  More information coming soon.

District Educational Conference

Each Division is entitled to three voting representatives at the Nominating Conference.  The Nominating Conference serves to narrow down the field for District Governor, District Secretary, District Treasurer, and District Bulletin Editor if there are more than two candidates.  Since the elections are for the 2019-2020 District Officers, this will be determined according to the new 2019-2020 Divisions.  These representatives will be determined at the Divisional Caucuses.

Division 16-17-18 and 21, please contact LTG Karen Herwono with any questions.

Division 19-25, please contact Assistant District Administrator Mr. Will Bradford with any questions.
